Home and Community Care

The First Nations and Inuit Home and Community Care (FNIHCC) program provides essential home care services, including client assessment, case management, nursing care, personal support, in-home respite, and access to medical equipment, supplies, and specialized pharmaceuticals. It also includes coordinated linkages to other professional and social services, record keeping, and program oversight.

Our WOrk

FNIHCC is available to First Nations and Inuit of all ages with disabilities or chronic/acute illnesses, as well as elders, who live in an Inuit or First Nation community or communities north of 60.

Eligibility requires a professional assessment confirming the need for one or more essential services, and the ability to safely deliver services within established standards and policies.
