Our WOrk
We work with communities to understand local food strengths, advocate for food and nutrition needs, and build food knowledge and skills. Our work spans many areas including health, education, early years, and the environment. Together, this work supports long-term wellness, culture, and Mi’kmaw self-determination.
To support this work, we are proud to introduce the Community Food Bundle Project:
Community Food Bundle Project
The Community Food Bundle is a collection of photos and items that reflect what food acess means for L’nu’k communities. Created by community members from the 13 Mi’kmaq communities in Mi’kma’ki, the bundle shares how L’nu’k communities understand and experience access to food. It is designed to teach, inspire, and strengthen the connections between food, culture, and community well-being.
